¿Es posible iniciar una instancia del servidor zookeeper en proceso, por ejemplo, para pruebas unitarias?

Netfix opensourced Curator un framework para hacer el uso de Zookeeper aún más conveniente. Tiene una clase de servidor de prueba incorporada. Si usas Maven simplemente agrega esto a la pom.xml de tu proyecto:
