En el Mac, o al menos en mi Mac usando una instalación predeterminada, accedí a él en:

/Applications/xampp/xamppfiles/bin/mysql -uroot -p

Para Linux:

/opt/lampp/bin/mysql -uroot -p

Para acceder al comando mysql en Windows sin cambiar manualmente los directorios cambiantes, haga lo siguiente:

• Vaya a Panel de control > Sistema > Configuración avanzada del sistema.
• Aparecerán las propiedades del sistema.
• Haga clic en la pestaña 'Avanzado'.
• Haga clic en 'Variables de entorno'.
• En Variables del sistema, busque 'Ruta' y haga clic en Editar.

• Añada la ruta a su instalación de MySQL al final del 'Valor variable'existente. Ejemplo:

  %systemDrive%\xampp\mysql\bin\ 

  O, si lo prefiere

  c:\xampp\mysql\bin\ 

• Finalmente, abra un nuevo símbolo del sistema para que este cambio surta efecto.

La razón por la que no puede ver las otras tablas es que necesita iniciar sesión como 'root' para poder verlas

mysql -h localhost -u root

Ir a /xampp/mysql/bin y encontrar para mysql. exe

Para acceder a SQL a través de la línea de comandos, simplemente navegamos a la carpeta xampp. la carpeta suele estar en la unidad c:\.

1. tipo: cd c:\xampp\mysql\bin a continuación, pulse intro.

En la terminal:

cd C:\xampp\mysql\bin

mysql -h 127.0.0.1 --port=3306 -u root --password

Hit ENTER si la contraseña es una cadena vacía. Ahora estás dentro. Puede enumerar todas las bases de datos disponibles, y seleccionar una usando el barbecho:

Recuerde el ";" al final de cada instrucción SQL.

Windows cmd terminal no es muy agradable y no es compatible con Ctrl + C, Ctrl + V (copiar, pegar) atajos. Si planea trabajar mucho en terminal, considere instalar una línea cmd de terminal alternativa, utilizo cmder terminal - Página de descarga
